Woman sees man collapse and uses it as opportunity to take his dog
I can't wrap my brain around how someone's first thought would be to take advantage of a situation like this. It's a good thing she didn't make it very far.

Some people will do their best to help other people, while others see another’s suffering as an opportunity.

This video features both.

It was a clear day, so Robert Corbey went on a walk with his pet dog, Samson.

Samson was actually a therapy dog and was really protective of his fur-dad, Robert.

As they were walking, the 59-year-old man suddenly collapsed. Robert had experienced a seizure.

Samson was on alert.

People started gathering near the dumpster where Robert lay. Some tried to see if he was okay, while other people tried to call for help.

Of the many people that looked around the area, there was one person who stood out.

The lady wearing an army green top looked worried, like the other people. You’d think she wanted to help.

But she walked away with Samson.

She took Samson’s leash and walked away with him as if she was a member of the family or someone who Samson knew.

The poor dog looked hesitant and kept on looking at Robert as he was being taken away.

Can you imagine what Samson felt?

We all know how dogs love their owners, and they are very intelligent.

Samson knew Robert was in danger and he couldn’t do anything because he was being taken away by a stranger.

Soon after, an ambulance took Robert to the nearest hospital.

Unfortunately, Robert passed away.

Robert’s family mourned losing such a kind man, but they felt disappointed by the fact that someone, a heartless person, would use such a situation to steal.

Kelly, Robert’s niece, watched the video with disgust.

She couldn’t believe what she saw! She didn’t know who the lady was and obviously, neither did Samson.

How can a person steal from a dying man?

Authorities acted quickly and soon found that the name of the woman they were looking for was Melody Mellon.

Police found Mellon days later.

She was sleeping in a truck that she also stole, along with Samson. The police arrested Mellon and took Samson back to Kelly.

Everyone was relieved that Samson was found and he looked okay. He didn’t have any bruises, and it looked like he ate during the days he was gone.

Samson was physically okay.

Emotionally, though, the little dog was worried about Robert.

They accompanied Kelly to the vet to get clearance before finally bringing their dog home.

The vet cleared Samson and Kelly, along with the rest of the family who brought the dog to Robert’s wake.

Samson knew.

Samson sat on Robert’s casket.

Finally, everyone had the closure they needed. It was a sad reality for everyone who watched the video.

It proves that while some people will help you, others see another person’s problem as an opportunity to steal.

Robert passed away without his dog, and the dog knew his owner needed him at that moment.
