If you think your dogs aren’t listening think again.
Sometimes it might be difficult to tell if your words are getting through but for one adorable pair, there is no question. Meet Motley and Hazel…some of the cutest faces on TikTok and they just know it.
The owner of these two adorable german shepherds had their eyes, ears, and heads at attention recently when she hilariously filmed their reaction to her pretend phone conversation.
While they were lounging on the couch next to their mom, they perked up immediately when they heard some VERY important words come out of her mouth. Just look at the focus in those eyes.
The TikTok user @hazelandmotleygsd wrote on the video ‘Answer a phone call and use all your dog’s favorite words.’
Right away the two dogs start to bob their heads back and forth to each and every word coming out of her mouth. It is clear she has their undivided attention and they are trying their best to concentrate. This experiment is going perfectly so far!
Here is her hilarious ‘conversation’ that she said resulted in ‘head tilts for days.’
“Oh we just got home from hanging out with Hazel and Motley. Yeah they were very good pups today they went for a walk, yeah the walk was really good on the walk we saw two puppies and then Motley found a stick and a ball and he took the ball and he went to the park and then after the park we went to the dog park and that’s where we threw the ball and then we jumped in the pool and then we went swimming! Yeah, they did so good! Yeah!”
The dogs seem to tilt their heads at the same time and sometimes in the same direction, which captivated TikTok.
Commenters couldn’t get enough of Motley and Hazel’s adorable head turns. One person wrote “This wins the gold in head tilts” while another added, “OMG I love the head tilts!”
Hazel and Motley’s owner wrote back to their followers and thanked them for their love and support. “Thank you for all the support ya’ll, the pups appreciate it too! – @hazelandmotleygsd
The inflection in her voice on those oh-so-important words combined with the synchronized head tilting is just hilarious.
Seriously though, the words ‘park’ and ‘ball’ in the same sentence as ‘stick’?! Who can blame them! At the end of the video, the two dogs seem to get the joke and look at each other in a mutual understanding.

There are many other videos on their TikTok page showing off their super cute personalities. It isn’t hard to see why these pooches are so popular and it’s impossible to keep a straight face while watching their videos.
