Tiny bulldog surrendered because he can’t walk won’t stop talking
He might be small but he has a big voice!

Dangerous dog breeding is still sadly a current issue today, and thousands of puppies all over the world are born with life-changing birth defects due to this. In a belief that they are catering to public demand, breeders will often go to extreme measures to create the “best looking” puppy, often by inbreeding in the same litter, breeding two very different breeds of dog, or repeatedly breeding the runts from two litters to produce the ‘toy’ dogs that are loved by many (most of whom don’t know the dangers surrounding the process of toy breeding).

Sadly, this seemed to be the case for a little puppy who was brought into a Mexico rescue center.

Although volunteers will never know for sure what kind of history the tiny bulldog had, he showed a lot of the textbook signs of dangerous breeding. Not only was he tiny, but he also had many unexplained physical defects, and he struggled to walk.

But after lots of love and care from an amazing foster team, the little pup went onto have his happy ending – and he even learned how to walk again!

Quarries Modo was brought into Road Dogs and Rescue in Mexico in a bad way. The little bulldog had been surrendered due to not being able to walk properly, and he was 1/4 the size of his littermates. When the team checked him over, they speculated that he may have dwarfism, as well as an illness called hydrocephalus, which often occurs in toy breeds and is where there is an excess of fluid in the brain. The tiny dog also struggles to walk due to his back legs not being formed properly.

But despite his physical difficulties, this little dog’s spirit could not be knocked.

Quarries was one of the happiest and most determined puppers you’ll ever meet, and he instantly grew to love spending time with the other bulldogs in his foster home, all of whom were at least twice his size!

Quarries’ sheer determination saw him grow to a healthy size, and within no time he was even able to walk in his own special way.

The fostered dogs lived the life of luxury, with hundreds of toys, lots of tasty food, and even trips out to the beach. Quarries’ happy personality shone through, and despite being such a tiny dog, he always let you know when he had something to say – with a huge bark!

A twelve-minute video showing Quarries’ cute bark, as well as all of the bulldog’s amazing progress, was shared onto YouTube by Alatana Loves Kittens – and within no time it had been viewed over 3.4 million times, as well as receiving thousands of likes.

People took to the comments to share their love for the video, with one user saying:
