When there’s only one of you and lots of them, some dogs will go the extra mile to be the center of your attention.

They’ll even become a lap dog when they’re a bit too big for your lap.

But who could resist this face?

We hope this big guy can get out!

Dogs will often retreat to their crates when they’re feeling anxious — and if this is the only one around, well…we just hope the owner knows how to open it from the top!

And we hope this dog is just being a goofball and has his own proper-sized hiding spot.

You know, he could have used it for his head and it would have at least made some sense.

For some reason, big dogs will often try to use little beds, even when their bed hasn’t been stolen. Maybe they don’t realize how big they’ve become.

Or when this happens, perhaps they feel just as comfortable in a bed “approved” by their plucky little sibling.

Some people enjoy showing off the size of their dogs by putting their paws up on their shoulders.

It’s not always a great idea unless you can somehow help your dog distinguish the “right” time to do this and remember not to try it with strangers.

But there’s no faulting this big hunk of love who looks perfectly ready to tango.

This is a question a dog simply won’t ask itself.

Of course there’s room! If not, they’ll make it.

Besides, you can’t have the little dog on the bed and expect the big one to just watch!

Let’s put aside the whole animals on airplanes conversation and concentrate on just how much this dog doesn’t care if his seatmate can see as long as he or she can see.

But can they touch that alert button to summon an air host or hostess if they catch any bad behavior?

Both of these guys are big, but we have the feeling that Saint Bernard is just a puppy.

The real fun will come when he grows up and STILL tries to cuddle in the same way.

If you pay attention to the thing in the car seat all the time, guess who is going to want to be in the car seat?

Your far-too-big-for-a-car seat dog.

Your entire knee is the perfect place to set half a giant dog face, didn’t you know?

Saint Bernards are even pretty huge when they’re puppies so we imagine this sweet guy or girl has been allowed up on the couch all along.

You’ve got to be careful when going on a long hike with your dog.

They’re like toddlers — don’t take them anywhere you don’t want to carry them!

Big dogs aren’t going to be left out of anything — especially watching something exciting through the window.

So make sure you have some sturdy furniture there!

Great Danes give great hugs.

And they’re usually pretty happy to do it, so watch out.

It looks like someone will always be daddy’s baby.

We love the dirty look this pup is giving the photographer — as if to say “don’t you laugh at me.”

This Irish Wolfhound outgrew this little chair long ago.

But he seems not to have noticed and is still perfectly happy to use it for naptime.

Problems with big dogs might creep up when they’re playing with other small animals and simply don’t know their own strength.

But most of the time big dogs are gentle giants — or they can be (if trained properly).

“Hello, I am doggo. Yes, I am the only one sitting in this chair. This is my chair. Why are you trying to talk to anyone else who may or may not be sitting in this chair. MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH ME!”

Here’s the difference between 8 weeks and 24 weeks for this pup.

That’s clearly not enough time to learn that size matters.

Have you ever wondered if you’re just a glorified seat warmer for your dog?

Like, they could sit in the chair alone, but it might be cold. Whereas you’re always warm.

You’re a necessary layer.

Big dogs should come with that truck backup noise – you know, the beeping that warns people that a large vehicle may be coming right at them.

On second thought, nevermind. You ALWAYS know your dog is coming right at you.

He’s not thrilled, but he’ll sit in it anyway.

We’re pretty sure this bed doesn’t belong to him, but if it does we’d be just as annoyed with our parents.

Leather can be nice and cool on a warm day if it’s out of the sun, so maybe he’s just helping his body temperature adjust.

Or maybe he just really hates it when his owner is on this chair.

Cats do this, but this dog has gone next level on the computer help.

And Hank is big enough to sit there and not be bothered by any feeble attempts at typing either, so have at it. He’s found a napping spot and he’s keeping it!

Our hearts are melting over this K9 unit and its human settling down for a nap.

You’ve gotta catch sleep when you can — and in whatever position you can.

We hope that wasn’t clean.

But let’s face it, we all know it was.

Whoa, that’s one enormous dog!

Do you think it wants this guy off the couch or is it just sitting down to make polite conversation with the houseguest?

It looks like big brother didn’t notice that there was already someone sitting there when he got in the car.

Or if he did, it looks like he doesn’t care.

Big dogs can be intimidated by little dogs and their spicy personalities sometimes, but they also know they have a size advantage.

Is this a hug or the beginning of a noogie?

I think we all know what happened when this big fluffer plopped down into the pool.

It’s a good thing the pool “boy” is standing by to constantly add more water since it’s about to get rudely displaced.

Moms can’t get a moment of peace from their kids — even their fur babies.

Once you become a mom you have to get used to your “little” ones climbing all over you. You’re both a superhero AND a seat.

He’s still a puppy but he isn’t sized like one.

Still, he’s perfectly willing to be babied like one!

Dogs can wiggle into plenty of spaces if they want to feel safe and surrounded by things.

But we’re interested to know how this pup made its way out of his leather safety fort.

Don’t tell me you’ve never heard of a shoulder dog. That’s totally a thing!

I mean, it’s not, but we’re playing along for this pup’s sake.

We think he or she is making it work.

Anyone with a loveseat and a Great Dane knows that they might as well say goodbye to that piece of furniture.

While they’re still too big for it, they find it to be the perfect size.

Good luck arguing with them.

You can buy the biggest bed on the market but that doesn’t mean you’re going to get any space to yourself.

You really have to train dogs of any size early and often not to get in the bed and then stand firm on NEVER letting them in.

Otherwise, your doctor isn’t going to be able to help with your insomnia.

Restaurants have different outdoor rules about dogs.

Most are fine if they fit under the table and don’t get underfoot.

And apparently some are fine as long as they’re partially confined to your lap.

We just wouldn’t want to be the person at the next table with a yummy-smelling brunch.

We’ve all had those days when we need to come home and collapse!

This big fuzzy doodle found the perfect piece of furniture to dramatically drop down on.

Are you food or friend?

We love the way these two are eyeing each other up…we think. Hopefully, that’s not aggression we’re seeing because we’re pretty sure we know who wins.

It’s going to be pretty hard for that little guy to give the big one a “traditional” doggie greeting.

Nearly everyone is happy to see a dog on the train.

And this is one seriously good boy who really knows how to behave well.

What a goofball.

But if he’s somehow comfortable in there, then so be it.

This giant polar bear seems to have broken in and replaced a dog.

Or else someone really enjoys cleaning up white dog hair!

We’d say this dog doesn’t know how big it is but judging from the look on its face we’d say it knows EXACTLY how big it is.

Adorable, and yet, we REALLY hope this family trusts (and trained!) this dog.

They can be the best protectors though — and sometimes they really like to get a good sniff of their charges.

This pupper will always be daddy’s baby.

Especially when things are scary and he has to jump up in his arms.

We don’t think this dog owner chose the right television show to watch with his big pup.

Now we just want to know if he can fall asleep like that.

A cigar, a good book, and a giant fluffy dog are really all you need to make your evening go smoothly.

Just watch where you puff that smoke.

We know exactly who the boss is in this situation and exactly what said boss thinks of its canine housemate and its comfort.

Hey lady, YOU got on the floor. Technically, that’s the dog’s space.

We’re pretty sure this is entirely fair.

Always invite your giant dog to a pool party.

They’re going to show up anyway, so you don’t want it to be awkward.

There’s nothing better — or at all surprising — about a big, slobbery wakeup call when you’ve got a big bully in the house.
