Man saves a baby shark that sticks around to say ‘thank you’
I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it myself. There's no mistaking he was thanking the man for saving his life.

Fish Are Friends, Not Food

Paying it forward with kindness goes under the radar for most people that have committed a good deed. In some cases, that deed can be a bit peculiar and out of the ordinary. For instance, why would anyone want to try and save a shark? They are of course the apex predator of the ocean and can pose a significant threat to us humans. Well, you would save a shark too if you knew just how adorable this little baby shark looked. A man that was casually walking around the coastline spotted a baby shark that appeared to be stuck in a bed of seaweed. Luckily for the little critter, the man was there to save the day.

The video begins with the man noticing the baby shark in distress. It sees that it is caught in a tough area with no water. Seeing that the poor shark had the inability to move and even breathe through its gills, he decided it was time to step up and make a big difference. He approached the baby shark and grabbed it from its tail in order to move it over to a more appropriate location.

Not Your Typical Shark

As the man walked with a faster pace, he started to periodically set the baby shark in small water holes so that the organism can sustain itself on the way to the ocean. As the little shark was carefully dropped into these water holes, the man observed to see what its reaction would be. Amazingly, the baby shark seemed to reciprocate positively, however, it was not budging to move elsewhere.

The man seemed to be quite puzzled once he noticed how the shark started to become attached to his presence. The shark was become hesitant on leaving the man’s company as it tried to get used to its natural conditions again. What was even more shocking was the shark’s willingness to allow head rubs as a sign of endearment.

“What do you want? Go, be free! Go on. You’ve got all the ocean there. You can go anywhere you want,” said the rescuer as he tried to let the shark depart from his path.

Off To The Horizon

The little shark knew it was about time to say their final goodbyes. It would stretch its head back as if asking for one more rub before the lifelong adventure that awaits him in the deep blue. To his surprise, his rescuer gave him a couple of head rubs to show how lucky he was to have met him.

After saying the final farewells, the baby shark looked at his savior one last time before he turned around and began swimming to freedom. Strange what some interactions can do. In the end, the two were better off with the experience and the man even left viewing the shark as a strange aquatic version of a dog.

It goes to show you how much it matters to be aware and help protect the environment no matter who is in danger. Saving a baby shark is not an easy task by any means. There would be a considerable amount of people who would turn down the opportunity if offered, much less if the event springs on them out of the blue. We give an enormous amount of respect and credit to the gentleman who saved this precious animal.
