Do you want to know what it feels like to live with a rabbit?
In a video posted by the animal content channel The Dodo, a young man’s life changed after a rather fluffy encounter.
If you’re planning to raise some rabbits and don’t know where to start, let Mr. Phiri and Aaron show you the ropes through their beautiful brotherhood.
Aaron was driving when he spotted something on the road.
A white tuff of fur was hopping and walking in the middle of the road. As it hopped closer, Aaron realized that this was not a wild rabbit.
He suspected, especially with how “clean” the rabbit was, that the animal was abandoned. He must’ve been dumped on the side of the road and was left there.
It was raining at that time and extremely cold so Aaron took the rabbit.
The rabbit was reluctant at first but it eventually approached Aaron. He wrapped the rabbit up and drove home.
Once safe, he gave the rabbit a thorough wipe down to get the dirt off its coat. He even used a blower to dry his new friend more effectively.
He hasn’t realized it yet at that moment but it was the start of their friendship.
“He was definitely nervous at first, but as soon as I gave him something to eat, he did warm up to us a little bit more,” Aaron shared with The Dodo.
Slowly but surely, Mr. Phiri became less fearful and distant. He must’ve felt that this person was really determined to take good care of him.
They became inseparable since then.
“Me and him had quite a special bond,” says Aaron to The Dodo, “and became completely obsessed with each other.”
He also shared that after days became weeks, and weeks, became months, they couldn’t leave each other’s side. So much so that they’ve built a routine around each other.
Mr. Phiri’s hours start early in the morning.
He would always try and take off Aaron’s blanket – something he loves to do. If it’s a way for him to wake up his human, I guess only Aaron can tell. Then, it’s time for his first breakfast.
Then it’s a ride in Aaron’s hoodie on the way to second breakfast. Aaron shared that interior design and redecorating occupy the first part of their day. It means randomly chewing on some wallpaper.
Then, they catch some sun for that vitamin D.
He would then groom Aaron to make sure his human always looks good. And as growing rabbits, Mr. Phiris needs some homeschooling. Some basic training to start the course then a good session of foundational philosophy to cap things off.

Then, after dinner, Mr. Phiris takes a nap on Aaron’s bed – even if he’s really awake. But not matter his antics, Aaron loves his rabbit so much.

“I just feel so lucky that he chose me to be his little buddy,” he told the Dodo, “I just love that man so much.”
