This picture gave us some food for thought, because as adorable as it is, we’re left questioning how we can apply the ‘no petting’ rule when a Quokka literally lunges itself at you. With that sweet little grin and the open arms that say, “cuddle me!” we might end up having to take the fine. At least there’s a pic for evidence.

Quokkas are so happy, that they even have a big grin on their faces when they’re fast asleep. Just look how cozy he looks! We wonder what he’s dreaming about?

When it comes to taking photographs, this quokka is better behaved than our children, pets, and husband combined. Just look at that butter-wouldn’t-melt face! The urge to pet one must be unbearable.

If we had to carry our kids around in a pouch 24/7, we’re not sure how we’d be feeling about life. But this happy mama looks like she’s fulfilling her life’s dreams! We have to admit, that’s one cute little baby. He seems to be saying, “Hello world!”

Although it’s illegal to pet a quokka, you’ll be happy to know that quokka selfies are totally allowed- and these little guys are super photogenic! The great thing about taking a pic with a quokka is that you don’t need to wait for them to pose or smile, as they’re complete naturals. As quokkas walk around with a smile on their face all day anyway, a selfie with one of them should be a piece of cake.

Okay, so petting quokkas isn’t allowed, but kissing them is? If so, we’ll be on the next flight to Australia as soon as the pandemic is over! If not, we’re on our way anyway. Just a selfie with one of these little cuties would be enough to make our day.

Not only are quokkas the happiest animal on earth, but they’re also super kind too! This sweet girl had been munching on her leaf when she decided to hold it out to the humans, as if to say, “Do you want to try some of this tasty leaf?” Sharing is caring.

What is it with Australia doing everything to the extreme? Their scary animals are super scary, their big spiders are super big, and their cute animals are super cute. We honestly can’t decide if we’re jealous of the locals or not.

Is anyone else getting Alvin and the Chipmunks vibes from this picture? Thanks to their big, shining black eyes and sweet smiley faces, quokkas look as if they’ve stepped straight out of a Disney movie. Disney needs to make a quokka inspired movie ASAP!

We don’t know about you, but this picture speaks to us on an emotional level. This is what we look like when we’ve been hardcore dieting for 6 days … and it’s finally cheat day! We’re not sure we look as cute as this happy little chubby quokka though.

Just when you thought quokkas couldn’t get any cuter, let us introduce you to… a baby quokka. First, we saw Alvin and the Chipmunks, but this mama quokka is now totally giving us the mama Beaver in Narnia vibes. Just us?

Quokkas are willing to share their leaves, so it’s only fair that we share our healthy food with them. Those tiny bite marks are the cutest thing in the world! And just look how happy she looks.

One thing we’ve learned about quokkas is that they’re totally awesome at sharing- so it’s a real shame that we couldn’t keep one as a pet, as they’d teach our dogs a thing or two! With their perfect manners, positive attitudes, and permanent smiles, these animals would make great housemates. Could we maybe just slip one into our bags?

If this mama quokka could speak, she would certainly be having a Lion King moment with her baby right now.

“If you look out here, all this land is ours… But make sure you stay away from giant spiders and snakes!”

We often wonder what quokkas are so happy about- then we remember that they live in a place where the sun always shines and the sea is turquoise blue and the people are totally friendly and laid back. So we’d say that this little guy actually has a lot to smile about!

Is this not the best selfie you’ve ever seen? Quokkas must be the only animal that stays happy despite selfie sticks, making them the perfect companion to join you for a selfie. You cannot look at these little darlings and not smile. They’re so friggin cute, cute, cute!!!

This sweet old guy looks exactly like a wizened elderly man walking along with his stick, and we’d love to sit with him and hear all about his wisdom. We bet this guy would have some stories! Care to share, little quokka?

This would be the perfect picture to use on a quokka dating app- if such a thing exists. This is without a doubt the smoothest quokka we’ve ever seen.

We’ve been looking at this sweet snap for quite some time now, and being totally honest, we cannot find a single thing that we don’t like about this picture. From the shiny black eyes to the chubby cheeks and the tiny little hands, we adore everything about this little cutie! We wish we were this photogenic.

This little quokka is giving his best puppy dog eyes, and we sure as heck would fall for it. In fact, with a face that cute, we’d give him whatever he likes! Our packed lunch? Sure. Our comfy blanket? Yep. Our flight tickets back home? Yep,why not?!

Someone feed this quokka! This cutie has his mouth open as if he’s anticipating taking the bite of the apple for himself! But he’s much too polite to beg.

When we hike, the only thing we fear crossing paths with is our nextdoor neighbor- so imagine going on a hike and coming across an animal as cute as this? We’d just want to scoop him up and take him with us! Quokkas are truly photogenic from every angle.

As is this photo couldn’t get anymore adorable, the baby quokka decides to pop his head out and make a surprise appearance for the snap! If he could talk, he would definitely be saying, “are we there yet?” And just look at mamma’s toothy grin!

Here’s just another photo of a happy quokka hanging out and being cute, and we’ve noticed something about these happy chappies. The ears and the cheeks are the same shape, just different size! Ultra cute symmetry!

If there was ever an animal that looked as if they were about to break into, “Hi, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and saviour Jesus Christ?” then this little quokka is the perfect fit! He’s cute and he knows it, which means that there is also a 99.9% chance of us stopping to hear what he has to say.

This little guy looks like he’s about to throw some punches- but with that cute, smiley face, we’re seriously questioning what kind of scrap he would ever get himself into. If one of these little darlings squared up to us, we think we’d end up giving them a big hug instead.

Why do these quokkas look like they’re about to show off their living arrangements? “So this is where we eat… This is where we sleep… this is where we sit and look all cute…”

From the front, quokkas look all cute and chubby, but from the side, their faces become totally streamlined and squirrel-like! They’re cute no matter what the angle, and we can’t help wishing that our side profile was as photogenic.

There is nothing in the world that would make us more happy than a beautiful sunset, a gorgeous ocean for us to dip our toes into, and the cutest little quokka we ever did see. We can’t stop smiling right now!

With teeth this tiny, it’s lucky that quokkas aren’t the fighting type- as they certainly wouldn’t get very far! They’re so adorable and gentle that we feel like we need to protect them at all costs. We just want to give him a great big cuddle!

What is it about quokkas for throwing fists whilst maintaining a happy little smile on their faces? Are these guys never sad? They seem to be full to the brim of happy fighting energy.

Just look at those shiny black orb eyes! You could fall in love with this quokka just by looking at him. We bet he has all the girls after him.

Have you ever seen a quokka stick his tongue out before? Nope, us neither! Who knew that they also had a cheeky side to them?

Quokkas are so adorable that we can imagine that people want to take photos of them all day. And while other animals would eventually just find a cozy spot to sleep in, it seems that quokkas are so polite, that they’ll keep on smiling for the camera even when they’re on the verge of falling asleep right there!

These quokkas look exactly like they’re about to perform in a music video. Either that, or they’re stealing your snacks…

This quokka munching on a fry is a brilliant representation of how we look when we’re tucking into our cheat meal of the week. Everything tastes better when it’s fried. Delicious!

This quokka has just looked into the mirror for the first time and noticed just how cute he is- or at least that’s what it looks like! We need a vacation like this. Along with our very own quokka, of course.
