Great Dane loudly complains when his dinner is late
He was NOT happy about having to wait.

For pretty much every pet ever, dinner time is one of the most important moments in the day.

It goes without saying that our pets don’t necessarily live the same busy and complex lives that us humans do, so it makes sense for why the meal times are such an exciting prospect. Despite not being able to tell the time, cats and dogs have excellent body clocks – which is why you’ll often find them reminding you to top up their food bowl if it’s even a minute past their normal feeding time.

So when Max the Great Dane discovered that it was past his dinner time and he still hadn’t been fed, he has the most hilarious reaction. The hangry pooch complains loudly to his human mom and dad, quieting only when he’s presented with a delicious bowl of freshly cooked chicken. The whole hilarious moment was caught on camera and we just had to share it with you!

We first came across the video on Rumble, where it has become a bit of an online sensation with over 900,000 views.

The video, titled, “Great Dane Is Not Happy At All About Late Dinner” was posted back in 2017 by , but to this day it’s still making people laugh!

“Is it time for dinner?” Max’s dad asks. “Oh, you want your supper?” It’s 5:08 p.m. – eight minutes after Max is usually fed – and he’s not too happy about it. He’s sitting next to the kitchen counter, right by the spot where he knows his chicken is waiting for him, and his huge, pleading eyes are enough to tell you exactly what he wants.

However, Max decides to take things one step further. As his dad asks, “Okay, what do you want? Do you want chicken?” Max lets out the sassiest bark we’ve ever heard, followed by a dramatically long, drawn-out whine.

Despite probably being fed just a couple of hours earlier, he’s now starving hungry again – and with a body as huge as a Great Dane’s, we bet he gets through his fair share of food every day!

“Is it 5 o’clock?” Max’s mom asks. “Because that’s your supper time.”

She takes the camera to the digital clock on the oven, before realizing that it’s eight minutes past Max’s usual feeding time! Of course, to us humans, having our dinner eight minutes past usual time wouldn’t be anything of a bother. But to Max, it might as well be the end of the world, and he’s absolutely furious.

Before Max can throw too much of a tantrum, his dad finally opens the box of chicken, and he’s about to be fed!

Chicken is his favorite food and he can’t wait to eat it. But Max’s dad has one final request before Max can eat his tasty treat: a high five. Naturally, Max isn’t too happy about this either, and he begrudgingly puts his paw in his dad’s hand at the same time as letting out another sassy bark.

Luckily, Max’s trick was good enough to be rewarded, and the hungry dog is finally able to eat his dinner.

After that drama, we bet his owners won’t be forgetting about feeding time any day soon! Watch the hilarious video below.
