Horses are famously beautiful and majestic creatures. However, there’s one horse that stands out from all the rest. His name is Frederik the Great, and he’s been called the most handsome horse in the world.

The main thing that sets him apart from the rest is his incredible mane.

Basically, he’s the Fabio of horses.

Frederik the Great, who is a rare Friesian horse, is unofficially known as “the most handsome horse in the world,” a title he earned as of 2016, according to Wikipedia.

Frederik was so stately in appearance that he was named after the ruler of Prussia from 1740 to 1786.

And with a name like that, it’s no wonder that Frederik was destined for such an illustrious future. Frederik lives in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas with his owners from Pinnacle Friesians.

“People fly in from all over that want to just be with him,” owner Stacy Nazario told ABC News. “Once you see him in person, once you meet him, it takes on a whole new relationship with Fredrick.”

Frederik has a massive social media following with more than 100,000 Facebook fans.

“He enjoys his followers, and when he posts that on his Facebook, he does mean it,” Nazario says.

Frederik’s claim to fame goes well beyond social media.

He has appeared on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and apparently has received many offers to appear in movies.

He also made a movie, according to his Facebook page.

“Filming and working on all my parts for upcoming movie ‘Behind the Beauty’ to be released at the end of 2017,” his Facebook page said in March 2017. “Don’t worry about the details they will be posted everywhere with Trailer closer to opening. Thank you to all my Friends and Fans for all your support.”

The world is absolutely smitten with this stallion. But maintaining those good looks is no easy task, according to Nazario.

“It usually takes about three hours,” she explained. “To wash his mane, to condition his mane, to dry his mane.”

All that time and effort is worth it because he gets a stud fee of more than $7,500, according to Daily Mail. In addition to bringing home the bacon, he makes a lot of people very happy.

Nazario doesn’t update Frederik’s Facebook page as frequently these days, but she still makes sure to pop in from time to time to assure Frederik’s fans he’s doing well.

In April 2021, she updated his Facebook page to tell Frederik’s fans that he just celebrated his 20th birthday. Even though he’s getting up in years, he still looks as handsome as ever!
