Ring doorbell cameras are becoming more and more popular. People love being able to see just who (or what) is on their property or at their door – and plenty of owners have caught bad guys in action.

(Of course, that doesn’t mean they’re without their controversy when it comes to who might access them or how they’re used.)

Despite all the bad things one might catch on camera, there have been quite a few adorable moments as well.

Doggie doorbell

Even the company itself has been amused by more than one dog learning to use the device. They posted a video of some pups learning to use the doorbell with her nose and paws.

Here’s Lucy trying to get her family’s attention.

“In neighborhoods across the country, pups are taking doorbell matters into their own paws and pet parents are discovering a new way their Ring Video Doorbells help keep their furballs safe,” Ring said.

But Lucy isn’t the only tech-savvy pup around.

In February of 2020, Ring also uploaded another video from a family’s doorbell camera showing how it comes in handy for their 3 dogs. We bet they never realized there would be a canine use for a high-tech doorbell!

In their YouTube caption, Ring wrote:

“Lola, Leo, and Chewy are best friends and when they are done playing outside, they make sure to let their pet parents know when they’re ready to come in by using their nose and paws to press the Ring Video Doorbell.”

Let us in!

Lola, Leo, and Chewy are lounging around on the family’s front porch in Buda, Texas.

But all of a sudden, 2-year-old Lola decides it’s time to go in. So she rings the bell – and then appears to howl for good measure. After all, there’s no reason not to make sure mom and dad really know her wishes.

She turns around to see if the magical device led to an immediate door opening, but no such luck. It looks like they’ll have to wait for a human since technology hasn’t advanced that far yet.

But at least it appears that all the dogs are on the same page. And no doubt they heard the doorbell ring inside.

Lola seems to know she’s done all she can with the Ring doorbell, so she waits with her siblings at the front door.

It’s adorable to watch them stand there and we can only imagine who might win the race to get inside first (our money is on the little one).

But it appears mom and dad are a little slow on the uptake (or else they simply saw that it was their dogs at the door and knew they could take their time).

Lola looks at the smallest dog as if to say “can you believe they’re making us wait this long?!”

While we don’t see the door open, we know these three beloved pups got what they wanted in the end.

Ring my bell

It seems the video doorbells are becoming more and more popular among dog owners.

Lola, Leo, and Chewy’s owners decided to invest in even more cameras after they realized their furry family members were making use of them.

“We initially got Ring to monitor our home and it has made us feel a lot safer,” their owner, Jordan, told Ring. “Because of how funny the videos of our dogs came out, we ended up getting two more for the other doors on our home.”

Mystery solved

The cameras have also helped homeowners solve some animal-related mysteries, such as who has been eating their flowers.

They also come in handy when you wonder why your kiddie pool water is muddy and you realize you have BEARS in your backyard!

Of course, any motion-activated device will do to catch a glimpse of the local wildlife stopping by when you least expect it.
