Sleeping in a tree isn’t necessarily an easy thing to do. It requires lots of balance, physical skill and determination. That’s why most people or animals don’t really do it.
And then… Enter cats. The way cats sleep is already pretty mind-boggling, so it only makes sense that they are one of the few animals to accomplish this “sport” of sleeping in trees. In short, they’re great at it (and apparently they do it often) and we have the silliest pictures to prove it.
See what we did there? It’s like a “great spot” to sleep, but also a grape spot because it seems to be a tree that grows grapes. Hilarious (and convenient for post-nap snacking!).
This cat is out. Like, he is so out that all of his limbs are just hanging loose. We hope that one day we can discover the secret to being that relaxed.
Check out ‘dem apples! That honestly seems like a great idea… Sleep in the tree that has food in it so that when you wake up and you’re hungry, you immediately have something to snack on. You’d basically never have to leave the tree again.
This kitten looks so safe and sound. She has her tiny little paw on the tree’s trunk. If that’s not trust, we don’t know what is!
Why use a pillow when you have a tree trunk? This cat has the right idea it seems. You can rest your head down on pretty much anything and be out like a light!
Big cats do it too. Even in the wild, they seem to have the same idea. Must be an instinctual thing! Whatever it is, it’s super entertaining!
And here’s the most adorable black panther lounging in a cherry tree. Have you ever seen anything more pure than this? Hard to say.
The trees don’t have to be in the center of nature either. This cat is enjoying this tree in a parking lot just fine. I guess if it’s high up and made of wood, that’s all that matters!
This cat may not be sleeping, but she sure is enjoying her time up in this tree. And she looks so beautiful doing it, too! Wow!
This cat looks like a perfect little angel! The way she’s playing with the delicate branches and the way the light is coming in… Honestly, this is a piece of art that deserves to be framed!
11. Same same but different
Okay, this isn’t a tree. However, it’s really the same energy. Cats love climbing stuff and hanging out above the ground and this photo just further proves that!
This white cat is giving us some serious ice queen vibes with that beautiful fur and serious facial expression. She’s like a little snow bunny… Except in a tree.
This kitty is definitely staying warm in this tree with that long fur! He looks like he’s the king of the forest with that stance!
14. All cats are the same
Honestly, it probably doesn’t matter if it’s a house cat or a wild cat — they all love lounging in trees just the same. If there was a cardboard box nearby, we’re sure this wild cat would jump right in.
“Hello from all the way up here!” is probably what this cat would say if it could talk. That’s what we think, at least.
