A lot of people love cats because of their unusual charm and quirkiness. Even when they do strange things, people still obsess over these felines.
What makes every cat adorable?
The difference between cats and dogs is the fact that cats are not as affectionate as their canine counterparts; they show their affection towards their humans in their unique ways. For example, it is rare to see cats come to you after you call them by their name without any food bait. They usually just lie on the floor and ignore you until they decide to fish a little bit of attention from you.
When they do, you might see them butting their heads against your leg or rolling on the ground in front of you with their bellies exposed. Unlike dogs, cats choose when they wanted to be loved. If you see them like this often, then that just means your cat really adores you.
This cat has the habit of asking his owner to pet him and it is just adorable.
Meet Mavi, a bi-colored cat that just loves to be petted all the time. Mavi’s owner, Laura, calls him the Tuxedo Cat because of his elegant black and white color combination that it looks like he always wears a small tuxedo.
He became famous on the internet because his owner uploaded a clip of Mavi showing his peculiar habit – politely asking Laura for pets and rubs. The video was uploaded in 2016, and since then, it has been viewed over 19 million times on YouTube.
The short clip starts with Mavi sitting on the sofa enjoying some gentle scratches on the head.
You can see how Mavi rubs his whole body against Laura’s scratching hand as his tail wiggles with excitement. As soon as Laura stops scratching him, the cat sits beside Laura and looks at her. A few seconds later, Mavi starts extending his paws and poking Laura as if he is begging for more scratches.
As soon as Mavi gets Laura to turn towards him, he continues patting his paw on her until he gets what he wants. The blissful look on his face as Laura scratches him once again is just priceless.
Laura stops halfway again, leaving Mavi unsatisfied.
Laura knows that this is what Mavi does when he is seeking attention. Although, it doesn’t hurt if she teases him for a little bit by stopping the scratches midway. The cat would go back into position, and using his paws, he will politely ask her to do it again. Laura tries to ignore the begging cat by averting her gaze.
However, Mavi is just so persistent that he sometimes reaches his paws and touch Laura’s face so that she will turn to him. Laura avoided his attempts to hit her with his paw, but it doesn’t take long for her to give up and give Mavi what he wants. Successful, Mavi finally receives his reward and enjoys Laura’s satisfying head-scratches.
Cats have unique personalities that just make them incredibly gorgeous.
Each cat has its own quirks that makes us love them. We just can’t get enough of their feline charm. Moreover, with their unique personalities, it is just hard not to treat them as spoiled tiny humans.
