Cautious man puts his life at risk to free wolf stuck in fence
The man was hesitant to approach the wild animal but he also knew that if he didn't do anything the wolf likely wouldn't survive.

Wolves are fearsome beasts that inhabit the northern hemisphere. These predatory animals are not very fond of humans, as they’re pretty shy and solitary and prefer to hunt in the forests and mountains far from inhabited areas.

It means that wolves will very rarely wander into occupied areas which makes encounters with humans very unlikely.

Every now and then, even wolves can find themselves in need of human help

Unlike other predators, wolves are not solitary animals. They socialize and hunt in packs and rely on facial expressions for communication! Even though wolves enjoy the reputation of being fierce and dangerous, they are inefficient hunters. That’s why they hunt in packs which function like families. A wolf pack typically has an alpha male and female who breed and produce pups.

If you’re a wolf and a lousy hunter you can get kicked out of the pack!

In the wild, it’s all about survival. Failure to catch prey may result in starvation and eventually death. Every wolf in the pack is expected to contribute and if that doesn’t happen, it can result in being killed or kicked out of the pack.

Survival becomes a lot tougher when a wolf has no pack to rely on. A hungry predator quickly becomes desperate if not able to find food, which may cause the animal to wander into populated areas. Such situations can be dangerous, both for the animal and the humans it comes across so it takes a lot of courage, as well as some luck, for everyone to come through unscathed.

This wolf was found stuck on a fence and unable to free itself

We don’t know how the wolf got stuck on a barb wire fence but it sure looked like the poor animal was in a lot of pain and unable to free itself. When two people showed up to help the animal, the wolf didn’t look to be able to pose any threat to humans. In fact, the wolf was probably begging for them to release it!

The fence had to be cut to release the poor wolf, which didn’t object to the procedure and remained completely calm! It must’ve been tough hanging there helpless without food or drink and could’ve ended fatally if it hadn’t been for two humans who jumped to the rescue!

Fortunately, dad and son rescued the trapped wolf who found its way back to the wild

Wild animals and humans don’t mix well together and that’s a fact. Every once in a while, however, these two separate worlds, our civilized one and the wild one collide. It was human intervention that saved the trapped wolf and enabled it to escape back into the wild.

Even though humans often harm wild animals by reducing their natural habitats, there are many ways we can still help endangered wildlife.

The number of endangered species on our planet is growing, as more and more animals face the threat of extinction, due to the destruction of natural habitat, worsening climate conditions, and other factors. Now is the time to step up our efforts to protect endangered wildlife and preserve Earth’s biodiversity for posterity.
